- Making visitors log in. Some ecommerce sites require users to create an account before they can make a purchase, and some websites even make users sign up to browse any of the site’s content. However, this can be a huge mistake that will deter users from sticking around – most people will simply go to another site where they don’t have to bother creating an entire account just to read some information.
